What would they talk about that Mike hasn't already discussed with the experts that work for him like his legal or marketing team? And why would his opinion change if the petition exists on paper instead of just online? Why would Mike take time out of his day to have a meeting with one man, despite what I previously said, when he could just call him (which he apparently already did) and discuss it then? Mike is a CEO and doesn't have time for pointless and redundant meetings. Unless its all a charade.
Mike will look at the raw data of the petition, which is the number of signatures, to make a decision. He's not going to be persuaded because printing the signatures is "more dramatic", not to mention stupid, while ignoring the advisers that work for him.
Now, whether or not Mark's efforts are sincere or whether he's a shill makes no difference because his entire plan is useless anyway because of the previous reasons. Except for giving Blizzard a good idea of how many people would actually play based on the online petition.
Its good to be optimistic. I want legacy servers too, but i've lost all faith in Blizzard and it seems like they're deceiving us. I'm excited to see how it turns out if I still care by the time it does though.
