Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Any updates on what's going on? im crawling in my skin about this whole incident, Please give more updates, i "REALLY" want to know what's going on and i'm sure everyone else also wants to know what's going on!

if you think you're getting some kind of legacy server this year, don't hold your breath, blizzard won't even think of releasing legacy because it will hurt legion.

this whole incident is a let down for me, instead of releasing the acc data base so we can continue with our characters in a different server we get this.

The only updates that have come recently is the expected dates Kern and Nos teams will meet Blizz.

They reached their goal, Bliizard attention and now they are gone for good.
Deal with it.

I wouldn't hold my breath like the other guy said. The whole thing was doomed as soon as it shifted towards expecting Blizzard to open a server instead of just re-opening a private server that Blizzard can't touch. But nobody seemed to care about doing that, including Nostalrius for whatever reason. And i'm not implying they're obligated either because its not like i'm willing to put in the work to build my own server. Blizzard might still do it, but by the time that happens i'll have forgotten about WoW and invested in other interests. I guess I should thank them for closing Nostalrius since it help me quit, despite the fact that I still check the forum sometimes.

Yep. Feel that too. I feel like the talk with blizzard will lead to nothing. It's over now. No legacy server, and we won't see our char again.

I understand the risks with private servers and the possibility of them being gone at any moment. My guild was hopeful for the character data to be released so we could continue elsewhere. I'm disappointed because we're fragmented across many servers or have just stopped altogether. The motivation is entirely low because so many of us were anticipating the content releases.

It's nearly impossible to get people to commit to another project when having to start completely over. I get it and understand that's how these servers go sometimes. I could understand the reasons for not releasing the server core but why not the character data?

What does character data from Nostalrius have to do with Blizzard discussion? The announcement from May 1st doesn't even really address this and mainly discusses the server core.

If this is related, how does keeping character data private have use for discussion with Blizzard? The server core is understandable but it should be left up to us individually if we want our accounts to be part of a public release. Please rethink this Administrators.

Releasing ANYTHING related to WoW prior to the Nostalrius' team visit with Blizzard would be considered an IP infringement and would undermine the discussions, it's pretty clear. It might sound and BE innocuous, but it's still a violation of the TOS.

Man some of you sound like little kids throwing a fit because something isnt happening right NOW or you're not getting wjat you want. You need to understand you are dealing with a large corporation and things take time. Sure it sucks but thats the way it works.

You wanting your character data is quiet funny.. If they were to release the data it would be spiting directly in blizzards face not to mention every single person that signed the petition or who has spoken out to try and help convince blizz to build the servers. The goal here is to get legit servers, not cater to a bunch of cry baby bitchs
