Everyone be sure to keep up the support for Legacy, re-bump the thread and keep it on the front page so they can't let this disappear!

I wish they'd give us a statement, it's been a while since Blizzard made a statement about LEgacy Servers.

We don't have a retail sub man. I allowed mine to fall off couple of years ago.

Besides, most of us are not even US/CAN so we don't have access to your forums. Nostalrius was (is) a mostly EU thing, and most of us are EU.

They used to just close these on sight. They had no interest in hosting them, and their forum warriors that hump their legs attacked everyone asking for it. So the threads would just get trolled up and down by retail fanboys who like their pandas and balloons, until the threads were closed. You'd see the same wall of BS copy/pasted into every new thread repeatedly, which contained nothing but excuses as for why they shouldn't host older versions, much of it not even being true. Times have certainly changed if this is no longer the case.

But still, I don't have a sub for WoW to post on their boards, and am not going to fork for one to do so until they host Legacy. I should point out that back when I did have subs, I was permanently forum banned 3 different times on the same account, so it's not like they gave a shit about what I had to say anyway. Before the third ban, I told posted I was quitting and never coming back until they hosted older versions(so it was basically, a "gtfo already then" ban). That was in 2011, haven't gone back since, despite the trolls of the time telling me I'd return. I "returned" on Nostalrius.

Im in EU as well + dont have a sub and dont want one for the current shit game. Anyways, i read for about 1-2 min before i started having serious headaces, people on the offical forums (and mmo-c) are completly oblivious, i guess the only crowd thats left in wow is the dumbest of the dumb (at least the people who post) - but yet again, they enjoy really simple and a dumbed down game, so, il let that speak for itself :)

The ppl who play retarl are children and by that I mean 12 year olds to teenagers. This is why reading the official forums gives you a headache.

It is impossible for us, who are around 40, to communicate or to understand teenagers.

I met a retail player from my home country on taggalicious, a FB app, because she tagged me. She was 16 and half of the photos of her profile consisted of her numerous Blood Elf female characters ( I think she had around 7 Blood Elf Female toons) and her Panda.

How is it possible to have a serious discussion or to communicate effectively with a child for a 40 year old? It is not.

Next time you look at them at the official forums, all those Wolfies and Pandas and Blood Elves with 12000 achievement points or so, think that you are at a school and you are looking at children. They would address you as "sir" in real life.

My forum account is permabanned as well at the official forums because I am a Vanilla fan. It was very clear that Blizzard didn't want to hear from us until the Nostalrius shitstorm.

Ahh, i suppose you are right, because i would never accept the fact that older people who at least grew up with more complicated games would play and for that matter post there. So what you are saying makes sense (im not 40 but close to 30), but the effect is just the same. I would never have gotten stuck in wow when i started if the game was in the state it is now - and yes i can really say that now, because what made me play it and get stuck was partly because you had to put in serious time to level and achieve gear + make real friends/connections to get in good raids + guilds etc etc etc.

"Pristine" servers was, what they were hoping anyway, to be an easy effortless lazy solution to this problem, where they pretend to give you what you want, while knowing they're doing nothing of the sort. They were trying to throw you a bone for damage control, and would probably have hosted them too. The problem is that it's not what anyone wanted, and they knew it beforehand, or certainly should have.

We don't want retail servers with a few things removed. It's too little too late for that. We want older versions entirely. Removing heirlooms and DF is something they could have done back during Wrath when the game was still in a salvagable state, but they refused to do so for years and years, actually going full speed ahead to make it worse, running the game further into the ground. Cata took everything bad about Wrath, and made it worse, when it should have done the opposite, and certainly could have.

Even if they hosted "Pristine" servers, there'd basically be no reason to play on them. You'd still be overly OP leveling because of modern talent trees and dumbed down Cata content. You'd still level past the endgame you want to play. You'd still end up at the same retail end game you don't want to play. This is why it does nothing of the sort, for players wanting older versions of the game. I don't want modern day pick A B or C "talent trees"(can they even be called that now?). I want Classic, BC, or Wrath talent trees. You know, actual talent trees. I suspect this is a big reason for everyone.
