to be honest i didnt play the private server nostalrius mainly because i didn't have interest in vanilla wow or blizzlike servers i mean pain in the ass leveling your character.
i discovered nostalrius on october 2015 or so i dont remember that much cuz my mind is fucked up i was hanging on twitch and i found so much live streams on nostalrius there were 1k views or so i liked the server basically because it has a great community and population and decided to give it a try someday but oneday asmongold (i was and still a huge fan of him) release a video it was a discussion : the title was : real talk about blizzard shutting down nostalrius and legacy servers or smth like that . i was shocked when i found out that Blizz was shutting u down i was pissed off i watched the whole video and my heart was breaking with each minute i spent on watching it . i mean why would blizz do something like that . well obviously blizz was jealous of nostalrius bacause its retail servers didnt have this population i mean that sucked . asmongold kept uploading discussions about nostalrius and i was really sad that it got to shut down
well first i was watching asmongold videos which tells that blizz firstly shut down live streams with nostalrius and it did right cuz when someone who doesnt know wow and watch a live stream of a private server say nost and buys the game he wont find the same things nost had and he will quit of course and this will cause alot of loss for blizz so yea
i was watching all videos about the final days of nostalrius again and again but that sucked alot i mean i was really depressed even if i didint play ...
so how are u guys still holding on after the loss of our great memory (i shouldnt say that cuz i didnt play but u get my point)

Its hard... really felt like a sudden and bad breakup! I was really upset for a while and swore to hate blizzard forever and ever (like an ex girlfriend). However time have kinda put things in perspective. Instead I feel greatful that I had a chance to be part of the community for the year it was up!

I still miss my characters and some of the people (even though some I got on Facebook etc). On the bright side it kept me for putting off my university studies any longer and could finish that up! As well as I have now had time to play through some of my backlog games!

Now I have kinda picked up TBC a little bit, but vengeance wow seems to be down for some reason. I also spoke to my friend that just picked up retail wow for the first time in his life, this scared me from ever touching that thing again... unless legacy servers, then I'll be hanging on the door day 1

Kronos 2 is getting a lot of old nostalrius people

I've noticed many final exit players going here and I recently saw The Council and Drachensturm start there as well, a few nope/coal people are playing in Remedy there as well(only a handful combined, then there's some other old unknown nost players in that guild as well)

anyway, kronos 2 is your safest bet if you want ''longevity'' or maybe the word is insurance of some sort, right now I just hope that e.g some more people from un'goro mafia and cartel people comes here(for the pvp which is really good on Kronos).

and for the pve intrigued.. pve is a walk in the park on Kronos, much easier scripted here than actual vanilla and nost.

As much as I don't want to stand against Nost (and I'm not necessarily doing that) I have to mention that the whole "We don't want to break the law" thing is absolute bullshit. As some might remember they gave that answer when asked why they won't just move the server somewhere safe. Well... if they didn't want to break the law they could have started by not making the server in the first place.

I'm not gonna put on a tinfoil hat or anything but that one statement is incredibly fishy and generaly kinda stupid.

I went Vengance but that got derped but, affter a bit i went to kronos 2 myself. The top GMS gurky and Darvos are pretty chill people helped me get my account unbanned pretty fast but it's no nost So take that as a good or bad, shits mostly the same in a way Donor mounts though. A few buddies went there tryin meet em up, i know some just quit in hope of legacy and some went to L4G i honestly am sorta trudging through shit on there, Sorta hard re lvling a war 1-60 with your bud for a fourth time in a row. Sorta just trying to focus more on irl but there aren't really any good games, the only thing that really comes to mind is Halo wars next year, Anyway if anyway i'm horde "rageheart" on there hit me up if you guys ever want a tank (Yea they're common there too)
