Because community = divided = killed = not dangerous, mission = accomplished, next goal = counting overwatch money

This is how I, personally am beginning to see it as well. They really don't give a shit, they would rather let us hate them and keep counting their money. Arrogance and greed is what has taken over the gaming company we once used to enjoy, I feel.

Well, of course it's been demoted [from sticky status]. The crisis is over. The flames snuffed.

...no one outside of the private server community is talking about it; it's no longer 'news worthy'.

...Hype for Legion is now in full swing.

You won't see it debated again for another 8 months. -- When people will say "what was that server's name that got shut down...".

.......The cycle will repeat, with the announcement of the next expansion.

It'll come back with Blizzcon, where they will either announce hosting, or plan more damage control. They might push for pristine servers 2.0, now with the ability to turn off your XP gain, so you can stop at 60, 70, etc. This isn't a solution that does anything that anyone wants, but I bet it'll be the next hat trick they try to shovel by to put out the next fire. "Now you can turn off XP and play whatever expansion you like. Isn't that what you wanted." They'll totally miss the point, once again, and need it explained to them why it's a terrible pointless idea, in many ways.

Yes but they put it back up on sticky threads the same day but now it seems to be permanently down.
