All along,nostalrius never limited theri ad,as if what you do is above board,in fact, private server is an illegal presence.On the other hand,nostalrius never hide themselve,they longed to get recognition from the blizzard.Therefore,once blizzard requires nostalrius closed their servers,nostalrius will not do any resistance,I dont know whether the team had considered the security of the servers.this time, the team chose to stand on the side of the blizzard.Although i know that the players should not stand in opposition to the blizzard,but in fact, who can provide us with game, who is the dad.

Pretty much. The way they act proves that. This whole post mortem work mosty as their CV. They probably hope to get job at blizz with Legacy. But I dont blame them. Working for a company like that is far more valuable for their careers. They never promised me to keep it up forever... i actually think they might have gotten cnd but quickly realized it as an opportunity.

You're trying to say this was a big hoax? And that Blizzard played along with it? I don't think you thought this through.

Besides everything that happened, they could kept the server up. There were many ways to do this, however, the devs decided to shut the server down (they said they would in the first announcement they gave about this).

Why didn't want they to keep the project? We don't know the exact reason, we can only speculate, but what really bothers me is... why they started all of this just to shut it down?

I mean, nostal devs were basically proffesionals. They job they did was amazing, and it is very clear they knew the risks of making the server, the chart of blizzard lawyers wasn't something to be suprised on them (you probably know what i mean).

My first thought is that they got tired cuz they wasn't making money thro the server, now, i don't really care, all we can do is wait untill november when probably legacy won't be even mentioned in blizzcon.

Nost existence is only reason why legacy will be mentioned at blizzcon, in positive or negative way for us.Before Nost, all we got was "u think u do, but u dont".U really think none, and i mean none, will mention legacy(and Nost btw, why not)servers demand? Cant say that blizz will work on legacy, but im sure it will be discussed in november. i hope so.
