Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Found true enjoyment and happiness playing Nostalrius, i went back to retail WoW just to try out Legion and i know it's just the prepatch right now but i can't even stay on retail for over an hour without getting bored of it.. Where as on Nostalrius i could play hours on end.

Needing my vanilla fix badly... hoping for some good news soon. Don't want to start on kronos, i want Nostalrius or Blizzard servers!

If blizzard doesn't say anything or even says no within this year do you think the community we find a way to bring back Nostalrius?

If nothing gets announced at Blizzcon in October then I say we make our voices heard again. Get the movement back up and running. If were lucky and were loud enough we might be able to get Mike Kern to support us again.

Even if you are right, I think that is wrong that this community is not giving the same support for his personal projects, for example we should sign his petition Make Ember - A Spiritual Successor to Firefall and we are not doing that.

If we are a movement for Legacy Realms and we have Mark Kern to support us, maybe we should also support as a movement his personal projects (is my opinion).

Agreed. I've signed the petition.

To be honest we don't really know who is Mark Kern. I remember the time back when he was a member of the Red 5 studio for the MMO Firefall and when I'm reading this :

Ye that Mark Kern is such a bad guy that most of the former team from Firefall joined his newly formed company this summer...
People hate CEO's for being mostly out of touch and ignoring the community but when you have a guy like Mark that goes down on twitter/forums and interacts with players/critics it's concluded he's not what a CEO is supposed to be...

What I currently see is a Red 5 employee post and I'm more inclined to believe him than yours, moreover Firefall is a fail despite of its multiple launch attempts. Seeing a part of the same team trying to make another kind of Firefall and once again promising to make something better does not make me shiver at all after a decade in the MMO middle.

Even if that was true, we would be asking to him support the cause, not lead it. Because of his previous position at Blizzard it is natural he would attract a lot of publicity within the movement. He has my vote for that. The important thing is to make sure its heard, and that can only be done with enough voices protesting. That's the only way Blizzard will react, otherwise they'll just ignore it.

Just woke up from a dream where I was back raising on Nost.

Reality sucks.

Nostalrius needs to get off its pipedream with Blizzard and resume hosting the server. Tell them you're done being nice, and to sue you if they want it taken down now.
