I'm curious, do you think anything will come of these supposed plans? Or do you think it could be a stalling tactic for something that might not happen?

Blizzard isn't out to get you and I'm sure the people who work at the company really want to provide the experience of Vanilla as long as it is a financially viable path. They have as much evidence to support that it is as they will ever get. The only thing slowing them down is the work it would take to polish it back up to Blizzard standards. If they fail to deliver, it's not for disdain of their fan base, but rather they didn't have the foresight to allocate enough resources to the project.

I've been playing the game since it's launch, still am in Legion, so yeah I'm a diehard fan... Nothing in the world would mean more to me than going back to MC, NAXX, seeing the Ahnqiraj gates open(actually try to be the person that opens them this time)... but I really doubt anything will happen, we'll most likely just see Nostalrius relaunching a few months later, probably from Russia or something, and Blizzard won't give a damn, just like they don't even bother with other servers that are out of their reach. That's just how I feel, hope I'm wrong tho.

I can promise you the legacy movement has brought this issue to the forefront. Blizzard has to admit the game will come to and end. Ideally they would stream people into a new game or in this case (since they now have a demand - however small or grand it may be-) to a legacy version of its great cash cow. To me its has not become evident legacy WILL come just a mater of when and how Blizzard will "adjust" the game (Battlenet, etc.)

I have to say I quite liked your video. Pretty realistic take on the current swirling of information.

I'm still in the camp that believes there is only a winning outcome at the end of the day. Either we get an announcement at Blizzcon or Nost relaunches. I'll be happy ether way.

Me too. Because the people behind Nostalrius truly love Vanilla, just as much as we do. While Blizzard loves money. I wouldn't mind paying a sub fee to play on official Vanilla, but any form of cash shop would not be acceptable to me. And we've seen how much Blizz loves to milk players, so why would they treat Vanilla any differently.
