Soul Bag

So I'm planning on (most likely!) running a Warlock during the rebirth launch and have never played one. So the class is completely foreign to me.

My question, when do you get your first Soul Bag and how many shards does it hold? Does the Soul Bag take up a normal bag slot? When can I expect my next Soul Bag (again what would it hold) and also how do you acquire these bags? Quests? Do I need to purchase them? Have to make them myself.

I apologize as I can't search any WoW items while here at work (firewall). Gaming related content (according to my work firewall) is all blocked. Yet this site isn't! Anyways I really appreciate you in advance.

Small Soul Pouch, lvl 20 class quest reward, 12 slots
Box of Souls, lvl 30 class quest reward, 16 slots
Soul Pouch, Tailoring (260), BoE, 20 slots (buy it at AH or ask for a tailor)
Felcloth Bag, Tailoring (300), BoE, 24 slots (buy it at AH or ask for a tailor)
Core Felcloth Bag, Tailoring (300), BoE, 28 slots (buy it at AH or ask for a tailor)

Does the Soul Bag take up a normal bag slot?
Yes

Awesome thank you! Wow so we get a bag at level 20 and it only holds 12 shards? That seems really low no? Or does it not really matter until endgame?

Compared to normal bags for their level, they are bigger, and the first 2 are literally free. But 60s should have the Soul Pouch, which doesn't cost too much to make, and is bigger than typical level 60 bags (16-18 slots). The blue bag was never released on Nost; meaning it was unobtainable. The purple bag did exist, but it costs a retarded amount of mats, so it simply isn't worth it anyway.

If a bag isn't big enough, there's nothing stopping you from filling out your normal space with more shards. But other than for raids, you shouldn't have a need to bulk this many at once. Most of the time, 1 bag should be sufficient.

The Felcloth Bag should become available with 1.9 AQ patch.

You don't need big one for leveling. You just need to make SS, HS, pet and then just grab about 8 SS to make sure you have enough if needed for summon or to make another HS, SS or pet. I am playing lock whole time and never got a problem with this.
End game is different, but that's another story. :)

And you will probably use Improved drain soul talent while leveling.
With this macro.

/cast Drain Soul(Rank 1)
/run local a=GetBagName(4); if a=="Core Felcloth Bag" or a=="Felcloth Bag" or a=="Soul Pouch" or a=="Box of Souls" or a=="Small Soul Pouch" then PickupContainerItem(4,GetContainerNumSlots(4)) DeleteCursorItem() else end

So you will always have shards maxed out in your bag.
